Before you apply for a loan, it's a good idea to get a copy of your credit report so you may review it for any errors.

In 2003, President Bush signed the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act), which entitles you to receive one free credit report per year from each of the credit report agencies (Equifax, TransUnion, Experian). You can access all three reports from www.annualcreditreport.com, a site created by the three agencies.
